Founded 62 years ago, Rocon Contractors is a regional groundworks & civil engineering contractor based in Bramley, near Basingstoke. Most of our projects are undertaken within a 60 mile radius of our office.
Predominantly working on county and local authority highway and school projects, but also specialising on an array of commercial and residential sub-structure works, we have a large team of very experienced and long-serving groundworkers and plant operators. All of our staff have attained relevant training and certification, and we also have long-established relationships with specialist sub-contractors, regional/national suppliers and Consultant Engineers, meaning our company can provide a complete service to the industry. We have a turnover of approximately £4.3m and we are well placed geographically, technically and financially to offer our customers an excellent service.
All of our workforce is directly employed by us. We enjoy a very low turnover of staff and some of our operatives have been with Rocon for over 30 years. This is a testament to the good working environment at Rocon, and the reason that we do not use labour agencies.
Our directors, Jamie Powell and Danny McLaughlin have both been with Rocon for more than 20 years and are fully involved in the daily supervision of projects outside of the office, as well as the management of the business. Our contract management, purchasing and accounts staff are also long-serving, committed members of our team.
