Companies such as IGas, Providence Oil and UK Oil and Gas employ us to assist with the maintenance of some elements of their Southern UK onshore oil & gas production sites, predominantly with regards to their roads’ infrastructure. We also assist in maintaining and refurbishing cellars / basements and associated drainage requirements.
Obviously these sites require stringent health and safety measures, a suitably trained workforce and an experienced management team, all of which Rocon Contractors can provide as a matter of course.
Rocon are also called upon to assist in utilities works, which can be in a variety of ways, such as trial hole schemes to locate existing services in the design stages of a planned development, diversionary work and new installations, where we are often employed to carry out trenching and re-instatement works, with the actual utility company providing the cables or pipes, and making the connections.
In recent years we have carried out several large trial pit projects for Hampshire County Council, in preparation for large scale highways projects to be carried out by others.
