The Directors, Senior Management and the workforce are committed to safe working practices, and they view this as an integral part of Rocon Contractors’ day to day routine.
Our reputation for our exceptionally high quality of work relies directly on the skills of our workforce, and it is for this reason we ensure each employee is provided with the latest training appropriate to the tasks they will carry out.
All personnel are provided with appropriate safety clothing, footwear and a PPE kit when they join Rocon Contractors. An introduction to the company’s health, safety & welfare practices and a discussion about both employer and employee responsibilities also takes place. Detailed site specific inductions are given for each project thereafter.
Workplace visits and site inspections are carried out on all current sites a minimum of once every month. Sites are also visited by Senior Management on a regular basis and Site Supervisors are also entrusted with ensuring that all personnel and sub-contractors (where appropriate) wear all necessary PPE, work safely and adhere to method statements and site safety rules.
Our activities are overseen by MS Associates (Safety) Ltd, www.msasafety.co.uk who provide us with professional advice on Health & Safety matters, both from a practical and policy viewpoint.
Our training is carried out by a number of accredited training providers who specialise in different aspects of construction activities.
We are CHAS & ISO 45001 accredited.
Copies of our certificates can be viewed here.
Our regularly updated training matrix provides us with the information to ensure our workforce is well equipped to carry out all activities safely.

It is our objective to carry out all measures where reasonably practicable to meet, exceed or develop the necessary or desirable requirements and to continually improve environmental performance through the implementation of the following:
• Regular assessments and re-assessments of the environmental effects of our organisation’s activities.
• Appropriate training for all employees in environmental issues.
• Minimisation of the production of waste.
• Minimisation of energy wastage.
• Promotion of the use of recyclable and renewable materials.
• Reduction of and/or limitation of the production of pollutants to water, land or air.
• Control of noise emissions from our operations.
• Minimisation of the risk to the general public and employees from any operations and activities undertaken by our organisation.
• Distribution of our environmental policy to all employees, suppliers and sub-contractors and ensuring it is made available to the public.
We strongly believe that integrity in all our dealings with customers is a prerequisite for a successful and sustained business relationship.
We operate a highly effective and efficient organisation, focused on meeting customer objectives. Our aim is to provide products and services which give fair value and consistent quality, reliability and safety in return for fair reward.
We operate policies of continual improvement and investment in new technology equipment and in the skills of our staff, in order to safeguard our operations for the future and ensure that we continue to add value to our customers’ businesses.
This is underpinned by a consistent approach to the way we conduct our work. To cater for the wide variety of work we do, we aim for a balance between flexibility in the way we operate and tight control to consistently and efficiently meet customer expectations.
We have clear and strong lines of communication which allow us to respond quickly and efficiently to customer and market requirements, and our customers receive a consistent service across geographies, industries and technology areas. Our sales effort and delivery capability is aligned in order to ensure that we can successfully and consistently deliver what we promise.
We believe the quality of our work and management processes are best measured by our repeat levels of business. We estimate that over 80% of our business is repeat business. This belief is re-inforced by the results of feedback questionnaires that we send to our customers as part of our quality assurance procedures.
Our quality assurance management system has been audited as compliant to ISO 9001 standards, and our certificate can be viewed here.
As a professional and ethical company, we continually assess, implement and update our policies.

"We have been approached by the resident and asked to pass on his appreciation toward your Foreman regarding the manner in which he conducted himself. From my experience working with Rocon this is the norm and reflects upon all your team. A pleasure as always…
