Rocon are committed to maintaining a workforce that are suitably trained to carry out the individual tasks that are required of them, and ensure that all employee's are issued with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) suitable for the task's they will encounter during their working day.

To support this policy, our site operatives and/or plant operators are registered with the CITB approved CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) & CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme).

Holders of the above cards are able to show awareness to health & safety as all cardholders will have passed a CITB Health & Safety Test.

Our employees are also trained in other disciplines such as Confined Spaces Working, the use of Abrasive Wheels, Manual Handling and many of our employee's have become First Aid Appointed Persons by attending First Aid courses run by St. John's Ambulance.

As we carry out works within the highway, many of our team are NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) 1991 cardholder's, ensuring that we comply with the requirements of the relevant authorities when carrying out works within the road. Additionally, several of our Engineers are holders of NRSWA Supervisors Cards to ensure that all works are carried out to the relevant specification, and managed in a professional manner.

We are a member of HCTA (Hampshire Construction Training Association) and we also utilise the services of MST Solutions Ltd, who are external health & safety assessors and advisors to the Construction Industry.

Rocon have acted as Principal Contractor on many schemes and are fully conversant with CDM 2007 Regulations.
